Praise for Dorothea Barth's story Cowgirl (Summer 2011 issue, Lawrence Magazine):

"A rare exception of a writer outside Lawrence being tapped for an article in the magazine. But the theme of learning to ride ponies inside Lawrence was wonderfully LM, the writing was tight and vivid and the time period that it covered—the mid 1960s—was a perfect match for our demographics. Additional kudos to Dorothea for her patience as we carved out a space on her timeless submission over the course of two years."

Nathan Pettengill, Editor, Lawrence Magazine

News: An excerpt from Dorothea Barth's poem Mortal to Mermaid will appear in the 2012 Faeryland Calendar available at  Barnes & Noble! This is the second consecutive year Dorothea's poetry has been chosen to appear in the calendar, which combines visionary art with classic and contemporary verse.
