Bertram Barth, Solo Recorder

Unaccompanied by other instruments, the recorder has an airy, meditative quality that can beautifully enhance intimate wedding ceremonies. Bert performs on soprano, alto, and tenor recorders. The alto and tenor are best suited for ceremonial use, while the sprightly, nimble soprano recorder is great for after the ceremony.

When performing solo, Bert specializes in music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras. He can also perform folkloric selections, including lively English Country Dances, Celtic music, and Jewish music. 

 Solo Recorder Rates

Bert is available for events in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and the Napa and Sonoma Wine Country.

Wedding Ceremony Only:  $300
Includes 30 minutes of prelude music before the ceremony, all ceremony music, and an optional 15 minutes of music after the ceremony. Also included is preparation and consultation time and travel within the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento areas. 

Ceremony plus 30 Minutes Additional Reception Music: $350 
Ceremony plus 60 Minutes Additional  Reception Music: $400
